Community Corner
The Community Corner is a stationary display booth located at Entrance 1. The Community Corner is reserved for registered charities or non-profits who wish to promote their organization and raise awareness of their cause or upcoming campaign.
Organizations requesting the Community Corner must be able to sign a Community agreement and provide a Certificate of Insurance showing that they carry a $5,000,000 (minimum) Commercial Limited Liability insurance policy. If insurance is required it can be purchased through Morguard Investments at a daily rate. Charitable organizations must provide charity number upon application.
To apply for the Community Corner fill in all fields in the Community Corner Application below. Once completed your application will be reviewed by a Parkland Mall representative who will contact you regarding your booking request.
Requests are considered on a first come, first serve basis.
Promotions must be free of political, racial, religious or socially offensive content. Petitions and customer solicitation are not permitted. Parkland Mall reserves the right to alter or cancel bookings if these conditions are not met.
Sponsorships and Donations
Each year Parkland Mall receives numerous requests for sponsorship, raffle and/or auction items. Due to the rising number of requests, Parkland Mall requires detailed information about your event/cause to help us make the best possible decision pertaining to your request. Each properly completed request is evaluated against Parkland Mall’s criteria, total funds available and its overall compatibility to our objectives.
Criteria
Preference is given to organizations that:
- Make a significant contribution to the well-being and vitality of the community or meet a compelling need in our community
- Are registered charitable organizations demonstrating community support and involvement
- Are compatible with Parkland Mall’s objectives and strategic direction
- Have measurable impacts and achievements
The following are not eligible for support:
- Personal fundraisers of any kind (even if funds are being donated to a charitable organization)
- For-profit organizations
- Organizations, projects, and other activities outside or originating outside of Red Deer
- Religious or political groups
- Fraternal or other social groups/organizations
- Travel for individuals or groups (even if the purpose of the travel is charitable)
- Capital campaigns and acquisition funding
- Reducing debts or past operating ventures
- Please note: Parkland Mall will not solicit retailers for donations
To be considered for a Sponsorship or Donation, please send a letter, on corporate letterhead, describing your organization and event to Parkland Mall. All requests must be received at least 3 weeks prior to the date that the Sponsorship or Donation is required. Organizations receiving support will be notified and asked to pick up the donation from Parkland Mall during regular business hours. Organizations must be able to provide measurable results and transparency as to the use/recipient of the donation. The individual picking up the items will be required to provide a government-issued photo ID and sign a release form.

APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY CORNER
Applicants must meet criteria for usage of the Community Corner at Parkland Mall. Acceptance will be at the discretion of Parkland Mall. Please ensure all sections of this application are filled out in full to help expedite the process. Parkland Mall will contact you regarding your application.
Please submit your application at least three weeks prior to your requested booking date.

Before you submit your application, it is important to note the following:
All organizations using the Community Corner must be able to provide Parkland Mall with a Certificate of Insurance showing that they carry commercial limited liability insurance in the amount of $5,000,000 that covers the organization’s operations at Parkland Mall’s Community Corner. The Certificate of Insurance must be provided at least one week before the booking and must name Morguard Real Estate Investment Trust, Morguard Investments Limited and Red Deer Center INC (Parkland Mall) as additional insured.
The Community Corner must be staffed all mall hours during your booking. Setup must be done before mall hours and tear down must be done after mall hours.
Regular mall hours are as follows:
Monday to Wednesday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday and Friday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday and Holidays 11:00am to 5:00pm
We encourage groups to bring signage to display at the Community Corner. We can supply showcard holders that can display one double sided 22”w x 28”h poster. If you would like to bring additional signage, banners or balloons please note below to be approved:
Parkland Mall would like to support your group and generate awareness for your time here. If you provide a logo and/or social media post we would like to promote your group on our website and social media channels. If you do not have the ability to provide creative content, a representative at Parkland Mall can create it if time permits.
Parkland Mall staff is authorized to remove any banners, signage or other display items that have not been approved by the Landlord. Solicitation of customers and passerbyers is not permitted. Food or beverages may only be given out with prior approval from Parkland Mall.
A complete list of rules and regulations will be provided to you as part of a Temporary Occupancy Agreement once your booking is approved.
